Chief Squire's Address
Recruitment & Retention
This is a process to help circles setup
an awards committee. This
committee is in charge of purchasing
and distributing awards for an
activity deemed worthy of receiving
an award.
1) The Chief Squire should ask for
a volunteer who is willing to
chair the committee.
2) The chairman should ask for
volunteers to help him with
his award duties.
3) This committee would have to
work in close contact with the
athletics committee as it is
for athletic activites that most
awards will be distributed.
4) The committee will have to be
notified well in advance of an
activity that is requiring an
award.
5) The chairman would have to
come back with a report and
ask for funds. This is where
the Bursar would play a part
in determining a budget for
the awards.
6) As well as athletic activities,
this committee would have to
decide if it was going to give
out any awards for things like
member of the month or
year, etc.
7) The committee must then
decide what it is going to
give out and announce it.
8) Decisions must then be made
as to the recipients and the
distribution dates.
9) The awards must then be
purchased and engraved if
necessary.
10) To finalize,
a) Distribute the awards.
b) Take pictures to hand in
with the reports to be sent
to Supreme.
